As part of the Derby Family Arts Festival (23 - 31 October)
At Art Hub we explore different creative techniques and processes – there is always something new to try in this artist-led session. This time we will be exploring the Museum’s collection of wonderful brass figures from the historic Kingdom of Dahomey, West Africa. As part of Black History Month we will be finding out more about the exquisite craftsmanship from this part of Africa and using them as inspiration to develop your drawing and sculpting techniques.
Suitable for children aged 7+ and their carers.
*Please note, events may be subject to change dependent on the latest Government guidance relating to Covid. Although this session is drop-in, we may need to limit numbers or operate timeslots depending on current advice.
We really hope that you find this website useful in helping you plan a family day out. Whilst we try our absolute hardest to ensure all of the information is correct and up to date, we highly recommend you call ahead of any planned visit to check opening times and prices etc. We don't want any disappointed families! (Oh and check the weather before you set off!)
