Winter HAF Clubs Return for Derby Children
We are pleased to share that the Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) Programme is returning this December, offering free winter holiday clubs for children who receive benefits-related free school meals.
Funded by the Department for Education, the HAF programme provides a nutritious meal each day, exciting activities, and opportunities for children to stay active, learn new skills, and enjoy time with friends during the winter break.
Derby City Council and Community Action Derby are working together to deliver a wide range of activities for children aged 5 to 16, with more than 30 providers involved across the city. This year's offer includes:
- Sports, games, arts and crafts, dance, drama, coding, Dungeons & Dragons, and more
- Specialist SEND provision, including ID Derby's new trial offer for children starting from age 4
- Special family experiences, including pantomime and theatre tickets, ice-skating, and Santa's Grotto
Parents and carers of eligible children will have received an email by "HolidayActivities" which includes your booking code. This allows you to secure a place.
