Join us for day one of our Halloween weekender with an evening of the spooky, the strange and the weird. We’ll have drinks and music at the Museum on the Wardwick (Derby’s former central library), and a whole host of entertainment.
What to expect:
Co-host, Russ of Well Dressed Derbyshire said:
“Expect trad-folk put through a blender of techno, DnB and breakbeat, with mind-bending visuals, as Ghilli Girl and Fruiting Body debut their new AV show. We’re excited to be hosting Birmingham’s Hedge Priest for their Derby debut, fresh from supporting slots with duo Stick In The Wheel and Goblin Band, who will be playing an eclectic mix of techno and acid house, alongside some ‘folk-adjacent’ hardtek and breakcore. Rounding out the evening will be an opening set from Well Dressed DJs, laying down a suitably atmospheric Giallo-inspired opening set.”
Tattooists from Derby’s legendary Lifetime Tattoo studio on Monk Street will be unveiling their specially made flash for the 12-hour session the following day. Artists are designing unique artwork inspired by the collections housed across Derby Museums’ three sites – think nature, archaeology, Joseph Wright, industrial objects etc. We’ll give you a few teasers in the run-up! This is your only opportunity to pre-book for the flash day, so come and join us in the Wardwick and we’ll soundtrack your choice of ink.
Please note, this is an 18+ event
Please adhere to tattooist’s advice in advance of any planned tattoos, this includes good rest, limiting/avoiding alcohol, and eating well.
