Woodland adventures for home educating families.
Join us for a fun-filled time at Shining Cliff Woods! These sessions take place on a Tuesday each month. Directions will be included in your booking confirmation, please look out for this!
The sessions finish at 2:30pm, but you are free to leave earlier if you need to. Sometimes we might spend the session at one of the woodland clearings, or we might head to the stream area, discovering and exploring. Please note, there is no toilet in these area - wild wee behind a tree is the natural facilities on offer!
Other times we might head to the BBQ circle. On wet days, we can put up a high tarp over the BBQ and enjoy hot drinks under cover. There will be different things happening at each session, dependant upon the weather, season, and the interests of the group.
Please dress for the weather, with several layers and waterproofs. It can get very chilly in the woods and you will have a far better experience if you are warm and dry. Sturdy footwear is essential for the uneven and often muddy woodland paths.
Please bring your own packed lunch. A reminder that adults are responsible for the safety of their children throughout these sessions.
