Join us for a fun-filled time at Shining Cliff Woods!
Woodland Creatives is the perfect event for home educating families looking to explore nature and unleash their creativity. Get ready for a day of adventure, learning, and making memories.
These sessions take place on a Tuesday each month.
We will meet at the private woodland car park at 12pm and make our way down to the fire pit area where there is a composting toilet if needed! The sessions finish at around 3pm, but you are free to leave earlier if you need to. Some months we might spend the session at the stream area, discovering and exploring. Please note, there is no toilet in this area - wild wee behind a tree is the natural facilities on offer! On wet days we can put up a high tarp over the fire pit and enjoy hot drinks around the fire. There will be a seasonal craft to have a go at at each session if you choose to. As well as some activities and games.
Please dress for the weather, with several layers and waterproofs. It can get very chilly in the woods and you will have a far better experience if you are warm and dry. Sturdy footwear is essential for the uneven and often muddy woodland paths.
