A Christmas craft workshop for children in a magical woodland setting with adventures along the way!
Our Christmas craft workshop is aimed at 5-9 year olds. (Over 5 yrs only but upper age limit is flexible). We will wander down to a hut tucked away in the woods, searching for the woodland elf signs along the way.
If we find them all, the Woodland Elves will share their hot chocolate and biscuits with us! Once at the hut there will be a few different nature based crafts to have a go at. You might want to whittle a little wooden elf or santa, create a pine cone bird feeder, or make a leaf print Christmas cards or choose one of our other crafts on offer - the choice is yours! You might even have a go at them all, elves do need to get busy at this time of year after all!
Although our activities are based inside the Woodland Hut, we will also spend time wandering in the woods, helping the woodland elves check that everything looks cosy and safe for the wildlife over Christmas. We may even make some mini dens for extra hidey holes and protection from the cold weather. So lots of warm layers to keep warm and dry are essential. Sturdy footwear is also a must as the woodland paths are uneven and often muddy. We will meet our new Woodland elf recruits at the car park within the woods.
