Mother Goose Delights Derby
On a chilly December evening we sent a lucky Derby Days Out family to the opening of the all-new Mother Goose pantomime at Derby Arena.
The show was billed to be s-peck-tacular with breath-taking special effects, egg-squisite costumes and mountains of mayhem, an action-packed adventure guaranteed to have the whole family honking with laughter. So, we caught up with mum of three, Dawn after the show to hear their reaction to the performance.
"Wow! What a show! Mother Goose was our girls' first panto and it did not disappoint!"
Led by the incomparable Morgan Brind, Mother Goose is a laugh-a-minute bundle of joy with elements for the little ones and grown-ups alike! With a mixture of self-penned songs and recognisable tunes, this is a show full of energy and enthusiasm and it's clear this team love their craft!
Dawn added, "There really was something for everyone: from the music, the dancing, the jokes, the outstanding costumes of Mother Goose, to the giant golden eggs floating around the audience. Warning: watch out for the water pistols! An absolute must see panto created with fun and frolics for all the family! Can we go again?"
The performance running time was around 2 and a half hours with an interval, plenty of time to enjoy the hot food, drinks and snacks on offer. Light up toys were also available to purchase adding to the fun and illuminations in the arena.
It's safe to say, our Derby Days Out family absolutely loved their trip to see Mother Goose and would highly recommend booking tickets for the show this festive season whilst you still can!
