Belper Goes Green is back for 2026!

After a two-year break, Belper’s much-loved community festival returns from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th June 2026 at Belper Meadows Cricket Club — with a weekend full of music, creativity, sustainability and family-friendly fun.

This year’s theme is Belper 250celebrating water and its vital role in the town’s industrial heritage within the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Area.

Organised entirely by volunteers from Transition Belper CIC, the festival brings together people of all ages to enjoy great entertainment, inspiring ideas, delicious food and a welcoming community atmosphere.

What’s On?

🎶 Live music all weekend, including:

  • Belper Boom
  • The Beating of the Bounds at noon on Saturday

🛍️ Explore 75+ stalls featuring:

  • Local makers
  • Ethical traders
  • Community groups
  • Charities

🍴 Fantastic food and drink:

Including Nordic walking, nature connection and wellbeing activities.

🌳 Forest School activities
Hands-on outdoor fun for children and families.

🐶 Pride in Belper Dog Show
Saturday, 2–4pm.

📚 Family-friendly creative activities
Including a Reading Tent and drop-in recycling activities for children.

🎤 Friday Night Poetry Evening
‘Word of Mouth’ with Fleet Arts.
