This says it all! - Derby Days Out Blog
10th January 2016

Welcome to the world of DerbyDaysOut and thank you for taking the time to learn about us! was created with a simple aim in mind – to make the lives of parents, grandparents and families as easy as possible when planning a day out in Derbyshire.

We wanted to be a ‘one stop site’ for all you need to have a fab time with the family – so we scooped up all the attractions, all the clubs and all the events and created a website that is fun, modern and always up-to-date.

Launched on 3rd August 2015 we have built partnerships with a number of high profile businesses across the breadth of Derbyshire who are now actively promoting their event, attraction or business on our site.

We are a family of 3 – Mum Natalie, Dad Adam and most importantly 8 year old daughter Lola. As a family we enjoy nothing more than a day out enjoying the best of what Derbyshire has to offer weather that’s a free event at a school hall or a big event by a big local company … we have a thirst for fun on our own doorstep.

As parents ourselves we completely understand how important family time is and how important those events or clubs we send our mini-me’s to are top notch, as should be the information listed about them. is updated every single day – we don’t keep any event or information on longer than it’s relevant; we actively visit the site and update to make it as easy as possible for our Derbyshire fun seekers to find an event to suit their taste or budget.

We are excited and committed to keep investing our time, money and energy into growing DDO into Derbyshire’s number 1 tourism promotion site … we hope you will join us for the adventures ahead.

We really hope that you find this website useful in helping you plan a family day out. Whilst we try our absolute hardest to ensure all of the information is correct and up to date, we highly recommend you call ahead of any planned visit to check opening times and prices etc. We don't want any disappointed families! (Oh and check the weather before you set off!)
