Wow this is exciting – I’m writing my first ever blog and even more exciting that it’s going to be posted on our brand new website! Yippeeeee!!!
Ok well here’s a bit about me! My name is Natalie, I am a mum to Lola, wife to Adam and surrogate mum to my two adorable black cats Jack and Jacob!
I love football and am a big Derby County fan, I have been going to games since I was 5 at the Baseball Ground (so a very long time!) and still enjoy going now. I also love food - I mean really really love food! So I have to love working out too because I need to have a balance! I do mostly home workouts in my living room but also attend Derby Arena gym too.
I’ve lived in Derby my whole life and I absolutely love the place! I think Derbyshire is an amazing place to live with such natural beauty on our doorstep as well as modern entertainment – it’s the best of both worlds really!
I am proud to say that I came up with the initial idea of the website (I’m sure my hubby won’t mind me taking the credit!) and it stemmed from a bit of a wife to husband ‘rant’ about never being able to find out what’s on locally. I used to look at so many different websites and various magazines just to find some good events to go to at the weekend or during the school holidays. I said to him “There’s no site that brings all the information together in one place!” And another thing I went on a rant about was websites not being updated! Such a bug bear of mine! I’d find a great event and think “that sounds nice” only to find it was from 3 years ago! (Honestly – am I the only one who finds this so annoying??!!)
And so DerbyDaysOut.co.uk was born! All fuelled from a mother’s rant! In all seriousness - I really hope that the website helps mums (and dads) like me and makes your life that little bit easier!
We want the site to be modern, easy to use, regularly updated and not cluttered with irrelevant adverts!
We are completely new to this – we have never set up a website before and therefore feedback from you guys will be crucial! We want our site to be great and you can tell us how we can do that! So please do feel free to give us either positive feedback (that’d be lovely!) or constructive criticism which would be really useful!
So that’s all about me – Natalie! In future blogs I’ll be letting you know what days out we’ve been on and what it was like - from an honest mums point of view! (For example - how clean were the toilets?! Yes that's something that is important to me!!)
Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy DerbyDaysOut!
