All about Adam! - Derby Days Out Blog
Date
17th July 2015

Hi I’m Adam.

I\'m the Dad of the DDO family.

I’m a twenty something Dad with a love for family days out, football and BBQ’s!

The 3 of us are excited to share our experiences of Derbyshire’s event’s, attractions and clubs with you.

I was born in Ilkeston but I grew up in Skegness and enjoyed a childhood of ice-cream’s, beaches and day trips to the various National Trust properties throughout Lincolnshire.

When I turned 19 I moved to Derby and have enjoyed living across the County including Spondon, Belper, Oakwood and now Wilmorton.

My love of Derbyshire started in my childhood as my Dad used to drive over after his early shifts so we could come and watch the mighty Rams … come rain, sun or sometimes even snow he would make the 200 mile round trip so we could enjoy (sometimes not so much depending on how we were playing!) some family time together.

This is what I’ve wanted to give my own family; we’ve found a love of everything Derbyshire together and there aren’t many places that we haven’t visited in Lola’s 8 years!

That’s a bit about my past and why I love a day out rather than sitting on the sofa, but what can you expect from my blog?

A Dad’s perspective of the events and attractions we attend; I worry about the cost of everything! Am I getting value for money?? Parking; where can I park and how easy was it getting back out (and of course the cost of parking!). Football; DCFC but I’ll be ranting about football in general. Cricket … and probably having a moan about life from time to time.

But I hope you enjoy the site and it makes your life just a little bit easier.
